The BizOps team is building the connective tissue in TravelPerk; we ensure there is alignment across TravelPerk and that TravelPerk is focused on what matters. BizOps focuses on TravelPerk's most important business priorities and drives these forward. We are not internal consultants. Some consultants tend to make recommendations and then take off, avoiding any potential fallout from those recommendations. The BizOps team are analytical operators who think strategically and execute. 

TravelPerk is scaling its US Operations and because of this the complexity is also scaling. We are hiring our first US based BizOps team member who will join our established European BizOps team. 

You will partner with the US leadership team to grow the US Operations - acting as a mini-COO. You will work with all the functions in TravelPerk to ensure that TravelPerk wins the US market.

      

What you will do:

  • Be the first person that the US leadership team calls to think through or scope a problem. 
  • Focus strategically on our business operations in the US - proactively seeking to unlock new value or facilitate others to do so.
  • Manage end-to-end cross-functional projects using a combination of data, context, and business judgment to get to the right answer.
  • Make sure teams aren’t working towards different goals and that there is alignment and velocity (speed + focus). 
  • Help the business to effectively prioritize initiatives that will have the biggest impact for the US market.   
  • Constantly identify potential bottlenecks for the US market and triage them. 
  • Ensure that the priorities for the US market are reflected in company planning and goal setting.
  • Own tasks which are an urgent priority for TravelPerk's success in the US and then find the right home for them. 

 

What you need:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in consulting, a tech company in hyper-growth, or other comparable roles.
  • Robust data analysis skill set including experience with BI tools, data science methodologies, and/or financial modelling and analysis.
  • A proven track record executing, not just making recommendations. A mindset that strategy is only as impactful as its execution and follow-through.
  • Ability to communicate accurately, clearly, and effectively, with wide ranging audiences including the executive level.
  • Analytical mindset and approach.
  • Ability to structure and define requirements for ambiguous problems. You can make decisions even with incomplete data while considering alternative scenarios.
  • Not afraid to challenge the status quo and break existing setups in favor of more effective ones.
  • “Altitude shift” - ability to zoom out for high-level strategic thinking then zoom back in to prioritise and execute.
  • Super organized and detail oriented. If you were running the show, it would run on time.
  • Ability to work independently - you can own critical initiatives without requiring active oversights and input.
  • A real team player and a people connector. You can connect easily with different types of people and people at all levels in the organization, while leveraging relationships to capture more value for the company.
  • Open to feedback and hungry for continuous improvement.

Please note that, for this role, you need to be eligible to work in the US. The role can be based in one of our US hubs: Boston, Miami or Chicago. We can help with relocation, if needed.
