The Expedia Brands Finance organization is looking for a collaborative, curious and diligent Senior Financial Analyst to support our growing Expedia Brands Media organization.
This role provides financial leadership to a world-class team of media buyers and strategists, who are constantly looking for new ways to improve the near- and long-term impact of our working media investments.
You’ll play an integral role in supporting decision-making on where and how we spend money across all sorts of offline and digital media platforms.
You’ll also dive into performance measurement, assessing the impact of our media buys.
Along the way, you’ll work closely with teams supporting numerous media formats (including television, out-of-home, YouTube, digital VOD and programmatic display) to help expand the presence of Expedia Group’s various brands in the marketplace.
What you’ll do:
Communicate business performance to leaders both inside and outside the Finance organization, and the implications of that performance for future business decisions
Drive deeper insight into the performance of the business by exploring the data in new ways, and collaborating with subject matter experts in Marketing, Analytics, and elsewhere in Finance to operationalize those insights into tangible improvements in how the business runs
Understand and effectively communicate the impact of our media spend to the broader Finance organization
Improve cost visibility through the development of new reporting and strengthening end-to-end processes from plan development to invoice payment
Identify risks and opportunities, and quantify their potential impact, during the quarterly forecasting process
Gain exposure and knowledge across a variety of emerging and traditional marketing channels

Prior work experience in financial planning
Bachelor’s in business or quantitatively related field or equivalent related professional experience
Experience in travel or e-commerce
Familiarity with SQL, Python and/or VBA
Familiarity with experiment design in an e-commerce environment
