Expedia Group is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Retail Partnerships to lead the newly formed global retail partnerships organization.

 

In this leadership role, you will envision and implement a strategy for Expedia’s affiliate and influencer network. This is a critical acquisition channel for all of Expedia’s brands and will be responsible for driving substantial growth and partnering to deploy investment dollars against a robust product roadmap.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of business development, account management, strategy, and operations (team of 60)
  • Drive global growth for all of Expedia’s brands (Expedia, Hotels.com VRBO, etc) by engaging new partnerships as well as optimizing and retaining thousands of existing partnerships
  • Develop a go-to-market strategy, that enables the team to bring the full portfolio of Expedia’s affiliate offerings to market
  • Negotiate and build relationships with top affiliates and third-party network providers
  • Work with the Expedia brand and product organizations to define strategies and offerings for engaging the influencer segment
  • Identify new growth segments and markets and define strategy to effectively capture market share
  • Collaborate with the individual brands and global market teams to align on strategic direction to deliver key outcomes e.g., diversified customer acquisition, new customer growth, ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
  • Develop and implement a plan for our new affiliate onboarding platform
  • Define the tools and process needs that will allow for automation and scalability of the business globally across all brands and products
  • Partner with the Retail Mar-tech organization to build and maintain the future global infrastructure and operations for Affiliates and Partners, including selection of global tracking partners and standardize and extend commission and account payment systems

 

Who you are:

  • A strategic, commercially minded, builder with deep experience in sales and account management within a fast-paced, process-orientated environment (eCommerce or SaaS preferred)
  • Have an entrepreneurial mind-set, with high level of ambition for growth
  • Demonstrated ability to make data driven decisions and dive deep into operational details and analytics insights
  • Can identify market needs and translate to a product roadmap vision in partnership with the product and engineering teams
  • Strong business rigor in managing day to day operations, progress against OKRs, trading reviews, and critical business rhythms
  • Thrive in working across matrixed environments to get things done. Collaborates and builds relationships at multiple levels across peer groups.
  • Proven ability to attract, retain, empower, and develop a cohesive and impactful globally dispersed team
  • Able to scale an organization to meet the needs of growth and demonstrate a clear understanding of creating the relevant structures and incentives to support business objectives
  • A team player, who has thrived in demanding, intellectually charged environments, has strong convictions, and has the ability to win credibility and contribute across the breadth of the business and amongst peers in senior management team
