Utilising advanced technology platforms including XML API, white-label and online widget solutions these products are distributed via the Bedbank brands as well as through the Transfer and Activity Banks industry partners and own specialist brands including: Hotelextras, Isango, Guidego and Let´s shuttle.This position sits within our Beyond The Bed unit.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

This role is to support Carnect’s expansion in the Business to Business (B2B) car rental solutions market. The role is to increase new client’s partner acquisition. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated person capable of opening and nurturing a variety of new partnerships across the global landscape.

 

The role sits in the Business development Team. 

 

Main objectives:

  • Identify new leads Build b2b opportunities from lead generation.
  • Develop partnership proposals, analyzing partnership requirements (Business cases)
  • Negotiation process liaising with different departments (legal, IT, finance)
  • Develop strong internal and external relationship with teams and clients.

 

Skill / Training / Education

 

Essential

  • At least 3 years’ sales management experience in the B2B market, ideally within the travel/tourism industry including a proven track record of increasing sales through existing clients, and key account management
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).  Additional languages (German, Italian, Spanish or others) would be a major plus given the individual will be managing customers internationally
  • Knowledgeable about the travel/tourism industry (in particular car rental or another segment such as hotels, tour operators, online or retail travel agencies) with a good understanding of market dynamics, trends and key players
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills - able to drive insights, make commercially sound decisions and reach mutually beneficial agreements through a deep understanding of clients, the market, key business drivers and financial indicators
  • A proactive, results-oriented individual who is comfortable working on their own initiative and driven by working towards targets. Highly motivated and hungry to progress their career.
  • Strong collaboration skills, customer and team focused, with the ability to engage and influence key decision makers
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills. The individual needs to be detail oriented, take ownership and have a methodical approach to the management and maintenance of accounts
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and activities in a demanding and rapidly changing business environment
  • A general understanding and interest in technology, particularly the features and benefits of different IT and web    based solutions to connect and store data (e.g. XML, white label websites)
  • Experience working across multiple countries and regions and cultural awareness through working with global customers is advantageous
  • Flexible and adaptable to travel, including occasional overnight stays as required
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).

 

Desirable:

  • Degree or accredited experience in the field of Business or Tourism
  • Experience with CRM tools, e.g. Salesforce would be advantageous
