THE MISSION

You will take on both the Pre-sales Engineer and Onboarding Manager challenge, as the first person to truly sit between Sales and Delivery. Effectively, be responsible for the entire “technical pre-sale” to “initial product launch” cycle. 

As a self-driven individual contributor you will:

  • Use best practices and adapt them to Caravelo reality to formally set all the necessary materials 
  • Processes to transform the current ad-hoc integration & setup process into a streamlined one 
  • Become the tech expert in front of clients and prospects to help Caravelo sell more, faster and on the right expectations
  • Align with the Technical and Product teams on what is coming as well drive/understand new capabilities 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Present our Platform and Technology to a non tech-savvy audience in friendly terms. Become the go-to person in case of technical doubts during the sales process.
  • Support prospect customers' technical assessment through IT discovery meetings being able to explain the platform limitations, boundaries, and main use-cases from the technical perspective.
  • Act as a solutions architect recommending the modules and setup that better fits customers’ constraints.
  • Support sales executives by narrowing down the SOW while managing future clients' expectations in terms of effort, timings, and deliveries.
  • Produce diagrams and mock-ups to assist in establishing correct requirements and understanding of the platform and/or product basics.
  • Influence the schedule and prioritization of deliveries to meet project scope and company or team objectives.
  • Assist in and, occasionally, perform configuration and technical changes in the product setup.
  • Engage with CSMs and clients to drive alignment on product operations.
  • Handover to Product Support any relevant information about the rollout setup.
  • Advocate for optimizing our products and services on behalf of our clients, users and for the benefit of Caravelo team and platform.
  • Assist to establish best practices in Product Delivery and Operations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a technical role, such as Software Development or IT Project Management
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the travel industry and/or key systems providers (Reservations, Distribution, etc)
  • Minimum 1 year in a similar PreSales role.
  • Fluent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) in English 
  • Understanding the airline industry’s business and systems is a plus.
  • The flexibility to travel often and to be able to work remotely
  • Knowledge of Software production and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to liaise with both C-level decision-makers and IT teams with the same aligned outcomes
