Uniquely positioned between the hotel and B2B sides of Expedia Group’s leading travel platform, this role gives the successful candidate the opportunity to make an exceptional impact in redefining the B2B distribution landscape for the lodging industry.
We are looking for a highly motivated, result-oriented, laser focused commercial expert to lead business development with some of the world’s largest hotel chains. As Director, Strategic Partnerships you will be responsible for pipeline and strategy, deal structuring, evaluating, and negotiating high-impact partnerships. You will possess superior leadership, influencing and account development skills.
What you’ll do:
Overall responsibility for creating and leading the team to drive commercial strategy for Expedia Group’s global hotel chain B2B business
Build commercial relationships with EG’s strategic hotel partners and manage a pipeline of high value leads to achieve ambitious revenue goals
Negotiate attractive partnership deals and ensure mutually beneficial partnership terms that are in line with EG business objectives and strategy
Manage the growth and monetization of existing partners through scalable solutions
Navigate cross-matrix, align goals and influence to achieve objectives
Who you are:
A dynamic leader with responsibility for global partnerships
Highly motivated manager who will inspire direct reports and cross functional matrix collaboration
Demonstrable success using expertise to generate buy-in and trust with senior business leaders to provide effective counsel and influence decision making
Large scale program management ability to drive solutions across a global organization with multiple functional stakeholders
An outstanding communicator with a track record of building alignment amongst cross-functional partners to drive initiatives
Deep knowledge of the B2B travel landscape and global hotel partnerships is a preference
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $184,500 to $258,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $295,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $174,500 to $244,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $279,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
