Role Description:

As a Marketing Specialist in the Metasearch Commercial team you are responsible for the commercial management and optimization of our metasearch (price comparison) partnerships like Google, Skyscanner and Kayak. You will work in the highly impactful channel of Metasearch marketing and at the core of the Travel industry, where you will establish relationships with some of the largest players in Online Travel and with Booking’s tech, API and Pricing teams.

In this role, you will help us shape our Metasearch marketing strategy and enable us to stay ahead of the competition. As a global travel tech and e-commerce company this represents a unique opportunity to drive a huge business forward, at scale, having ownership and input in one of the most important performance marketing channels. As a Marketing Specialist in the Metasearch team you role will be focused on:

 

  1. You will be focused on our Transport products,  and will be encouraged to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the existing ways of working. We have a variety of partnerships and deals to manage so prioritisation is key
  2. Innovation - How do we change what we do to get better? How do we react to new opportunities to beat the competition?
  3. Automation - supporting growth and profitability by automating all our processes, so allowing for more time to work on the next innovation
  4. The Connected Trip - how can we join together all the travel verticals to elevate Booking.com from a Hotel brand into an industry leader across the whole travel experience?

 

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, ideally has experience querying databases (SQL, Big Query or similar), can prioritise their own work and will have demonstrated an ability to learn quickly

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Analyse performance and propose actions/recommendations to key stakeholders to maximize performance;
  • Ads testing/management;
  • Commercial negotiations and partner communication;
  • Recommendations on pricing, with clear guidelines dictating how we would be in a better overall position if our recommendations were followed;
  • Deep dive into all our available reporting, pick out important metrics and identify what we can do about them - e.g. GFS Travel Analytics Centre (Impression Share, Top of Page rate);
  • Work with new partners to expand the channel beyond the big three Metas;
  • Adopt and adapt new bidding strategies;
  • Investigate our displayed content and track/improve display rate.

 

Role Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience;
  • Internal/external stakeholder and relationship management experience;
  • Commercial awareness & understanding of digital marketing KPIs;
  • Project management skills and tasks prioritization;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to influence people & tailor communication to the audience;
  • Experience querying databases (e.g. SQL, BigQuery);
  • Analytical skills;
  • Metasearch experience, Basic understanding of APIs and Experience of AB testing and calculating significance are nice-to-have's.
