Head of Data Analytics

In this role, you will lead our Analytics teams, focusing on developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions to address business challenges in a customer-centric environment. You will have the opportunity to shape and recruit our Analytics team, establishing best practices and modern software development techniques that enable us to learn, build, and scale our solutions. Working closely with business leaders and analytical team leads, you will serve as the lead analytics expert on a range of use cases, from ad-hoc advanced analytics solutions to small-scale bespoke dashboards to multivariate experimentation in a production environment. By leveraging data to provide insights, you will help drive business value and enable informed decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

    • Building and leading an analytics community: You will develop and lead a distributed community of Data Analysts across the organization, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing to ensure consistency in analytics practices and excellence in analytical output.
    • Providing training and development opportunities: You will create and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and expertise of our analytics community, ensuring that they have access to the tools, technologies, and training needed to deliver high-quality insights and solutions.
    • Creating consistency and excellence: You will establish and enforce standards for analytics practices, ensuring that all analyses are conducted using best practices and that insights are communicated in a clear and actionable way.
    • Providing career development and guidance: You will provide career development opportunities and guidance to members of the analytics community, helping them to identify career paths that align with their interests and skills, and supporting their growth and development within the organization.
    • Developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions: You will lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to address complex business problems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to provide insights and drive business value.
    • Partnering with business leaders: You will partner with business leaders across the organization to identify opportunities for analytics to drive value, provide insights, and inform decision-making, helping to shape the direction of the business and drive growth.

Technical requirements

    • Experience in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
    • Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
    • Proficiency in dashboard and report development tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
    • Knowledge of data modeling concepts and database design.
    • Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate data quality, identify data issues, and recommend solutions.
    • Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and statistical hypothesis testing.
    • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Experience in data analytics, with experience in a leadership role.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and leading teams of data analysts.
    • Ability to build and foster a collaborative culture and create communities of practice to share best practices and promote knowledge sharing.
    • Experience in developing and implementing data analytics strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals and objectives.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to evaluate and recommend emerging data analytics technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve performance and drive innovation.
    • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data privacy regulations.
    • Ability to identify and develop talent, mentor and coach team members, and provide opportunities for career growth and development.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business processes and translate business requirements into data analytics solutions.
